Corner to Corner (C2C) Workshop

Welcome to Dee and Doug's Crochet World Corner to Corner (C2C) Workshop!

Corner to corner crochet is both a term used to describe both a stitch and design technique.  The abbreviation for corner to corner crochet is C2C or c2c.

C2C as a crochet design technique

C2C as a design technique is s where you work a square or rectangle from one corner across to the next on the diagonal.

Starting with a single stitch or stitch pattern repeat, you increase each row until you reach the widest part, then start decreasing on each row back to the opposing corner of your shape.

if you are making a square, each side will be of equal length before you start decreasing.  If you’re making a rectangle you will work non increase rows to achieve the desired length before the decrease section starts.

The C2C stitch pattern

The ‘traditional’ c2c stitch pattern  is worked using double crochets in a diagonal variation of the block or brick stitch pattern.  C2C can also be made with half double crochets, granny stitches, the moss stitch, etc.
